How it works
Frequently Asked Questions
1How do I add Pulse to my server?
Hit the invite link on the homepage or in your dashboard — Discord will ask which server you want to bless with good taste in music. Pick yours, click authorise, and Pulse will be there faster than your friend who always skips the queue.
2What's the difference between the plans?
Free gets you 5 queued tracks and unlimited playback — solid enough to see if we're your type. Basic (£2.99) bumps that to 25 tracks and adds all 7 audio effects, live radio, Spotify playlist import, persistent queues, and 10 soundboard clips. Pro (£5.99) goes full send — 75 tracks, custom playlists, 20 soundboard clips. Premium (£9.99) is for people who have ascended — 150 tracks, 2 servers, 40 clips, a custom Discord role, and the smug satisfaction of being at the top. Not sure? There's a free 7-day Premium trial. No card, no catch.
3What are the playback limits on free and basic?
All plans including Free get unlimited playback — no time caps, no cutoffs. The main differences between plans are queue size, audio effects, radio, Spotify playlist import, soundboard clips, and custom playlists. Upgrade when you want more of those features, not because you've hit a timer.
4Do you have plans for communities and servers?
Yep — if you run a community or need premium features across multiple servers without making everyone pay individually, we do bespoke plans. Drop us an email at support@pulsemusicbot.org and we'll sort something out. No off-the-shelf nonsense, just a plan that actually fits.
5What audio effects are available?
Quite a few: bass boost, nightcore, 8D audio, slow reverb, vaporwave, tremolo, distortion, low-pass filter, and pitch shift — all via slash commands. Stack them, go wild, see what happens. When you've created something that sounds like a washing machine on fire, /clearfilters will bring you back to earth.
6How do I upgrade?
Log in, head to your dashboard, find the plan card and smash that Upgrade button. You'll be taken to a Stripe checkout — it's secure, it's fast, and your new plan kicks in the moment you pay. No waiting, no support tickets, no vibe-killing delays.
7I have a trial token — how do I use it?
Log in to your dashboard and find the 'Redeem Token' card. Pop your token in (format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX), hit Redeem, and boom — instant upgrade. If it says invalid, double-check the dashes and make sure it hasn't expired. We can't magic up new ones for used tokens, sorry!
8How do I open a support ticket?
Join our Discord and head to the #support channel. You'll see panels for General Support, Priority (Pro & Premium), and Community Plans. Click the one that matches your issue, fill in the quick form, and a private ticket channel is created instantly. Staff reply there — no public threads, no waiting rooms, no yelling into the void.
9The bot isn't responding to my commands — what's up?
Classic. A few things to check: make sure Pulse is actually in your server (it won't invite itself, unfortunately), that it has permission to read and send messages in your channel, and that you're using slash commands (type / and look for Pulse). Still broken? Jump in our Discord and we'll sort it — we promise we don't bite.
10Can I use Pulse in multiple servers?
Free, Basic, and Pro cover 1 active server. Premium gets you 2. Need more than that? Hit us up about a bespoke community plan — we'll make it work.
11I cancelled — will I lose my playlists?
Your custom playlists stick around in our system. If you re-upgrade, they'll be right where you left them. We're not monsters.
12What is the Soundboard and how do I use it?
The Soundboard lets you upload short audio clips (up to 30 seconds) and fire them mid-playback — the music ducks down slightly while your clip plays, then comes straight back up like nothing happened. Smooth. To manage clips, head to pulsemusicbot.org/dashboard/soundboard. Upload, trim, pick an emoji, save. Then use /soundboard in Discord. Basic gets 10 clips, Pro gets 20, Premium gets 40. Free doesn't include soundboard access.
13How do I upload a soundboard clip?
Go to pulsemusicbot.org/dashboard/soundboard. Hit 'Add Sound', drop in an audio file (MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A), use the waveform trimmer to get it to 30 seconds or under, preview it, give it a name and an emoji, and save. It'll show up in your /soundboard panel in Discord within seconds. Easy.
14Can I use the Soundboard in any server?
Your clips are tied to your account, not a specific server — so they travel with you. Use /soundboard in any server where Pulse is installed, as long as you're in a voice channel and have a plan that includes soundboard access.
