1Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Pulse Music Bot service ("Pulse", "the Service", "we", "us"), including the Discord bot and the website at pulsemusicbot.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Use of the Service also requires compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Any breach of Discord's rules may result in your access to Pulse being suspended or terminated.
2Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service, in line with Discord's minimum age requirements. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.
By using Pulse, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3The Service
Pulse is a Discord music bot that streams audio into Discord voice channels. Features available to you depend on your active subscription plan. Without an active individual subscription or a Server Plan covering your server, access to the bot's features is not available.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of significant changes.
4Subscriptions & Billing
Pulse offers a free tier and individual subscription plans (Basic, Pro, Premium) as well as bespoke server-wide plans for communities. All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are billed monthly on a recurring basis unless stated otherwise.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. Full payment card details are stored solely by Stripe and are never held on our servers. Your use of Stripe's payment services is subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
You are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain valid and up to date via the billing portal in your dashboard. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry the charge on subsequent days. After multiple failed attempts, your subscription may be automatically cancelled and access to premium features will cease.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice, communicated via the website or by email where possible. Any price change will take effect at the start of your next billing period after the notice period. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Server Plans are purchased by a server owner and provide premium access to all members within the designated server(s). Assigning a server to a Server Plan is subject to a 30-day cooldown per plan to prevent abuse. Server Plans are non-transferable between Discord accounts.
5Free Trial
We offer a one-time 30-day free trial of the Premium plan to new users. No payment details are required to start a trial. Each Discord account is entitled to one free trial only — trials cannot be extended, transferred, or restarted.
At the end of the trial period, access will revert to no active plan. To continue using Pulse, you must subscribe to a paid plan.
6Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to your plan's features until that date. No partial-period refund is issued on cancellation.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service contract. However, by subscribing to Pulse and gaining immediate access to the Service, you expressly request that we begin performance immediately and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the service has begun. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion in cases of extended service outages attributable to us, or where required by applicable law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at info@pulsemusicbot.org.
If a payment fails, Stripe will attempt to retry the charge automatically. Persistent payment failures will result in your subscription being cancelled at the end of the grace period and access to premium features will cease.
7Acceptable Use
You agree to use Pulse only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Attempt to circumvent plan restrictions, abuse trial access, or share subscription access with users outside your permitted server allocation.
- Use the Service to stream, share, or broadcast content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or otherwise interfere with the bot or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service in a way that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten our support staff or community members.
Breach of these restrictions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
8Intellectual Property
All content, branding, software, and materials associated with Pulse — including but not limited to the logo, website design, and bot code — are owned by or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal or community entertainment purposes only.
You retain ownership of any content you interact with through the bot (e.g. your playlists). By creating playlists within Pulse, you grant us a limited licence to store and serve that data as part of delivering the Service.
9Data & Privacy
We collect and store only the data necessary to deliver the Service — including your Discord ID, username, email (if provided via Discord OAuth), and subscription details. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. For Stripe's data practices, refer to the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Your rights regarding your personal data — including access, rectification, erasure, and portability — are set out in full in our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at info@pulsemusicbot.org. Some data may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes.
10Service Availability
We aim to keep Pulse online and running at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Downtime may occur due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or events outside our control (including Discord outages or third-party service failures).
We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions. Subscription fees will not be automatically refunded for short periods of downtime.
11Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Pulse at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to the Service, other users, or us.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Cancelling your subscription does not automatically delete your account data — contact us if you wish for your data to be removed.
12Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the website or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
14Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
